“For the church to be viable for ongoing mission, we must take seriously our pursuit of spiritual formation and the call to do justice. Both are necessary to live out a holistic faith and to reflect the faithful historic witness of the church,” (The Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia).
Redeemer’s first Social Justice Committee meeting will be April 28 at 7pm in Parish Hall. The committee will focus on racial reconciliation and creation care (or care for the environment). Grounded in the Way of Love and teachings of Jesus, the committee will promote education, support current ministries, and create new ministries. All are welcome to attend the meeting and learn more about the committee.
