Women of Wisdom | WOW

Join women of all ages as they gather in a supportive, reverent setting to explore, discuss, and grow through a study of selected Biblical themes and texts. The group meets in person in Pinder Hall weekly on Monday mornings from Sept. through May. However, during the current COVID-19 pandemic, the group size, normally more than 30, has been restricted to 10 in order to observe social distancing. Please get in touch with one of the leaders for more timely information. This close-knit group welcomes Redeemer parishioners and also women from the wider community.

A typical 90-minute session may include a video presentation followed by a discussion of the video and workbook notes. When we regather in person, WOW will finish a series called The Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer and then move onto a study of women in the Bible. Karen Haneke and Nancy Adams lead the group, and the Rev. Grace Rigby acts as its clergy advisor. The group provides a welcoming, non-judgmental environment where confidentiality is an accepted norm.
